Helping your family prepare for a smooth, stress-free visit
At Community Dental Center, we want every child’s visit to feel comfortable, welcoming, and well supported. To make that possible, we ask all families to follow the patient policies outlined below.
Our practice policies
These guidelines help us use our time, resources, and funding wisely so we can care for as many children as possible.
-
Confirming appointments
You must confirm restorative appointments at least 24 hours in advance. We will cancel unconfirmed appointments, and, due to high demand, you might have to wait several months for the next available opening. -
Rescheduling appointments
If you need to reschedule, please call us at least 24 hours before your visit. Rescheduling with less than 24 hours' notice will be considered a no-show. -
No-show policy
Missing three appointments without proper notice may result in dismissal from the practice so we can reserve care for families who are able to attend.
-
Arriving on time
Please arrive 10 minutes early to check in. Patients arriving more than 5 minutes late will need to reschedule so we can stay on schedule for all families. -
Keeping contact information up to date
Please let us know right away if your phone number or address changes so we can reach you to confirm your child’s appointment.
If you have questions about any policy, you’re welcome to call us at 434-293-9300. Our team is happy to help.

Book Baskets began in 1996 through the vision of Mildred Abraham and now distributes thousands of gently used books each year thanks to donations from local schools and
