About Us

The Community Dental Center is a non-profit, full service pediatric dental center in Charlottesville, Virginia. We serve patients ages 1-20 years old with Medicaid (FAMIS) or who are uninsured. Also, those over 21 years old on the Medicaid Pregnancy Program are treated at our office. Our dental staff performs a complete array of services, including cleanings, x-rays, fluoride treatments, fillings, crowns, and extractions. Call us now for an appointment at 434-293-9300. We have a full-time Spanish-speaking Dental Assistant and utilize translation services for Dari, Pashto, Farsi, Swahili, and more. Our “Pay as you Go” plan allows uninsured patients to be treated at the lowest possible cost for quality pediatric dental care.

In response to COVID-19, everyone entering the building will have their temperature checked and must wear a mask.

Monday – Thursday: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. – last appointment at 4:00 p.m.

During inclement weather we follow the City of Charlottesville schools closure schedule. When schools are on a 2-hour delay the office will open at 9:45 a.m.

The Community Dental Center is located at 259 Hydraulic Ridge Rd. Suite 101, Charlottesville VA 22901 in the Albemarle Professional Court. This is directly across the street from the Albemarle High School.

Important:

Patients with Medicaid / FAMIS can receive transportation at no cost for healthcare appointments. In order to schedule a ride, call 1-888-386-8331 two weeks before your appointment. Once the ride has been confirmed, ask for your cab driver’s phone number in case you need to call them.
